In November of 2020, the C-pass program was renewed with board approval from all three program partners. Downtown C-pass will continue providing free transit access to eligible downtown workers and residents through 2025. All current C-passes will automatically renew beginning January 1, 2021 for all eligible employees and residents.
To protect the health and safety of customers and employees, COTA is recommending only essential travel until further notice. To review essential travel guidelines, please visit www.cota.com.
Fare collection for all trips has been temporarily suspended, and COTA is asking customers to enter and exit through the rear doors to encourage social distancing (wheelchair and ADA customers will continue to use front doors).
COTA has also modified service on some routes and may continue doing so as frequently as daily. For more information, visit www.cota.com.
During the period of suspended fare collection, members will not need their C-pass to board COTA vehicles. However, C-pass Customer Service remains available during its usual hours of 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at (614) 591-4184 or info@downtowncpass.com.
The Downtown C-pass provides eligible downtown workers unlimited access to the entire bus system of Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) thanks to the partnership of the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC), COTA and Capital Crossroads Special Improvement District (CCSID) downtown property owners. Eligible workers and some residents can use the C-pass any day, any time, on any route.
How does it work? Eligible downtown companies located in the boundaries on this map can register their employees. There’s no additional cost to the employers or employees to participate.
Property owners have funded Downtown C-pass through December 31, 2020. See if you’re eligible, and Ride with US.
